Collete’s journey into the world of Drifting started with a 1988 Mazda Rx-7 she found on craigslist.

She had always been fascinated watching her friends drift, and impressed by how much the sport is growing, but didn’t have the money to buy a proper drift car.  So she did what she always does, and decided to roll up her sleeves and build her own way in.

She bought that beat-up ‘88 Rx7 that wouldn’t start, and gutted it down to the frame.   Step by painstaking step she built it into the baby blue street racer that it is today, nd captured the entire 2 year process in a YouTube series called #ProjectDRIFT.  Ever wondered how to build a car, check out the series!

#ProjectDRIFT not only follows every step of the build, but Collete’s larger journey into drifting.  It details the 100s of hours filled with blood, sweat & tears that resurrected a falling apart car into a true show car; it follows her partnership with Garage Life which evolved into a tight-knit racing team.  You can also watch as Collete secures support from top tier partners like Microsoft, Kumho Tires, Mishimoto, Drift 101, House of Kolor, Status Racing, Adaptronic, Wrap Legends, Arai Helmets, JP Fiberglass, Precision Customs, NRG, Race Service, and more.

Having such a diverse racing background, Collete adapted to drifting quickly and was instantly hooked. She is now fine tuning her drift skills and drift car, and racing to become a top competitor on the path to debut in Formula Drift.
